Tasting - Lamarca

Lamarca

Region of origin: Veneto

Vintage year: Unknown

Price: $16

Shop/wine critic/winery review of the wine: "A fragrant prosecco with aromatic red apples, apricots and zesty honeyed grapefruit. Balanced acidity to match the fruit sweetness. Honey notes persist and offer some ripe pear and yellow apple touches on the finish. Try this with a cheese platter and fresh figs. Enjoy!" from Natalie Maclean Wine Reviews

Reference from Wine Folly text: From the text on page 155 about prosecco it mentions flavors of apple. I think this prosecco is on the quality level prosecco doc. This means "basic quality prosecco made in 9 provinces from Veneto and Friuli-venezia Giulia regions" taken from the text of the book. I could definitely taste the apple flavors but could not taste pear.

My personal review of the wine: Ive always liked this Prosecco because of the flavors of apple and lemon. I prefer Prosecco with orange juice when drinking mimosas rather than Champagne. This wine was super yummy and very light to the taste but it also enhances the orange juice very well making it a perfect brunch drink.
