Shop/wine critic/winery review of the wine: "I have purchased a lot of KJ VR Chardonnay over the years, however in the past 3 months, I’ve gotten 2 bottle of this wine that have been really bad, musty, dark urine yellow and undrinkable. They were of the vintage 2015 and 2016. The more recent vintages have been fine. Just wonder if you have had others comment similarly. Thanks." Review from Honest wine reviews

Reference from Wine Folly text: From the text on page 96 it talks about include apple with citrus. When I took at the wheel on the page over it shows that the tropical fruit category and the citrus taste is more than liekly from a lemon. The apple is in the tree fruit/melon category which is a very powerful taste I got. The review above mentions how they do not like the 2023 reserve and that in other years it used to taste better. 

My personal review of the wine: A chardonnay is always a great wine to try with the apple and lemon notes it offered. I enjoyed the Kendall Jackson a lot and thorough the flavors were very vibrant. Because I was at a baby shower I was able to try many different wines but preferred a Chardonnay overall.
